Fall 2011 Anime + Winter 2012 Preview

Saber in a suit is pretty moe
So, I finally caught up to everything from this season of anime.  I've been behind on all of the anime that I was following this season due to work during the school year :/  But now school's over, I've been able to catch up on all of the anime now.  This season, I followed Fate/Zero, Ika-musume, Haganai, UN-GO, Kimi to Boku, IdolM@ster, Mawaru Penguindrum, Mashiro Iro Symphony, Tamayura, Hunter x Hunter (2011), Chihayafuru, and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon.  In other words, I followed, 12 different animes.  Though some of them are from the previous season but that's aside the point.

Out of all of the anime that I've watched, the only ones that were universally good were Fate/Zero, and Chihayafuru.  Both of these I would recommend to people who have both watched anime and have not watched anime all too much.... Well maybe not Fate/Zero because of the background information that you need, but aside from that, it was great.  As for the other ones, there were a few that I enjoyed, but I'm not too sure whether people would have enjoyed.  For me, they be Kimi to Boku, IdolM@ster, and Tamayura.  Some people might not enjoy them mainly because they're slice of life.  They're not the most engaging and I'm pretty sure many people would be bored by them :/  But that's just me.

As for other notables in this season,  I would say Mawaru Penguindrum was something that I thought was interesting.... but in the end kinda just confused me.  It would probably make more sense to me if I went back to the beginning to rewatch it, but that's something I'm not willing to put the time and effort into.  If nothing else, it was well animated and had penguins ^^  Really amusing ones as well.  UN-GO was something that was interesting to me, but it wasn't something that I realized I liked.  I personally like the whole episodic approach they took with the different cases, but in the end it was too scattered to mean anything to me.  There wasn't enough things unifying itself together for me.

And well, now there's some that just were bad >_>  Namely Horizon, and Mashiro.... Both of these were stupid.  That's pretty much it.... yep

I watch PoT cause the characters are cool.....
No other reason...  Yep, no other reason
Well now that I'm done with reflecting on the anime that I watched season, I'm going to talk about next season's anime.  The one's that actually caught my eye are Nisemonogatari, Natsume Yuujinchou, Black Rock Shooter, Another, Ano Natsu de Matteru, and The New Prince of Tennis.  Nisemonogatari, Natsume Yuujinchou, BRS, and Prince of Tennis all have had previous works that were either interesting or stupidly amusing(I'm looking at you Prince of Tennis :<).  As for Another, the concept seems something that could be interesting just because it's a horror/mystery.  Though unfortunately, series of this genre either end up really good, or sad like Shiki.  And Ano Natsu de Matteru there just seems to be a lot of random character clones which make it amusing.  Like there's an obvious Taiga clone, a Yoko clone and Jinta clone.  So if nothing lulz will be had (I hope).

As for trainwrecks, I would have to say Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! and Recorder to Randoseru.  Both just from description kinda seem..... bad >_>  That's about it.  Not too sure what else to say except it probably can get worse D:

Time to watch a movie :D
That about concludes of anything that I care about this season and next season for Anime.  In other news, I'm planning on starting Final Fantasy XIII at some point tonight.  If you wanna watch, just go to my twitch.tv channel to watch.
